Easterton Stables – Riding & Lessons
Lead Outs (Weekends Only)
Perfect for children aged 3+, our 25-minute lead-out pony rides take place along the sand track, passing our outdoor school, café, and fields. Parents are welcome to walk alongside.
Adult Lessons & Hacks Private lessons run Tuesday–Sunday, 10am–5pm.
Evening lessons include:
Tuesday (5–7pm): Private lessons with Stephen MacKay
Thursday (5–7pm): Private lessons with Claire Burke
Thursday (7–8pm): Adult group lesson with Claire Burke
For hacking, we offer one-hour rides through Mugdock Country Park (weekdays and weekends on request). Riders must be competent in Walk/Trot and pass a short assessment before riding out. Hacks are walk/trot only.

Rider Weight Limits
15 stone max (14 stone for beginners), including riding gear.
Riding Attire Wear suitable riding clothing: jodhpurs or soft trousers (jeans & shorts are restrictive). Footwear: Boots/wellies with a small heel. Trainers and flat-soled shoes are not allowed.
BHS Challenge Awards We run Challenge Award courses for adults & children:
Under 18s: Mondays, 5–8pm
Adults: Thursdays, 8–9pm Stay tuned for more dates!
